Club History

Golf has been a tradition in Listowel since 1920, when a small group of business owners banded together to establish the Listowel Golf & Country Club Limited.

Today, our semi-private club strives to provide a unique and enjoyable experience from the moment you arrive. With attention to detail, we offer you the area’s finest golf product.

Our 27 hole golf course, designed by Dave Moote, RF Moote & Associates takes full advantage of the natural terrain. A challenge was created for golfers of all levels through the combination of long fairways, water hazards, rolling hills, plus multiple tee choices that test every golfer’s shot making ability through each of our nine hole courses.

Following golf, be sure to enjoy the best patio in town, either on our lower stone patio, or newly renovated upper deck overlooking 9 Millennium.  Our restaurant has quickly become the best food in town, whether visiting for golf or an event, or just to stop in for lunch year-round.

As part of our 2002 expansion project, a unique five star practice facility was added to the club’s assets. Open to the public, the range offers the golf enthusiast an opportunity to practice every aspect of the game with unmatched quality. For the player needing guidance, our experienced golf professionals can lower your handicaps.

The golf course’s character and reputation has been built not only on its challenge and conditioning, but through the dedication and commitment of the shareholder group to provide quality management, golf professionals, and turf experts.

A short drive from anywhere in South-Western Ontario, we offer the golf enthusiast, tournament host, banquet or corporate meeting organizers, a high quality & memorable setting.

Make your reservations today, our friendly staff will pay close attention to every detail thus ensuring that your event – is a total success.
